I'm a passionate artist and sole trader who lives and breathes creativity, with a deep love for the artistic process and natural textiles. For 40 years, I’ve been crafting costumes, and my commitment to being environmentally sound and ethical in everything I do gave birth to Pearl Blakk. Just like a pearl, this venture is growing slowly, with vibrant, beautiful creations that you'll love.

Pearl is launching with gorgeous art sarongs, soon to be followed by kaftans and other relaxed, non-gender-specific garments that are all about Art, comfort and style. Every piece begins as an idea, transforms into a painting, becomes print-ready art, and finally, a garment that’s ready for you to enjoy.

I work with talented Australian artists and designers, and I’m proud to support older Australian Stitchers who bring these designs to life. Our printing is done offshore on the Isle of the Gods where the printer, Labda Anugerah Tekstil, meets the Oeko Tex 100 standard and other certifications for environmental, health and safety, and privacy management.

In an effort to reduce garment waste, Pearl has a policy of low MOQ’s, welcomes wholesale enquires, and is open to making bespoke sarongs and garments for the larger (or smaller) body types. Contact us for these enquires.
